slipcast earthenware, glaze
heights range from 3" to 12" tall
In the slipcasting process, the invention ends when the plaster mold has
been made-- the casting process is more or less automatic. The mold becomes
a repetitive equation for construction-- its assembly predetermined,
its potential already fully realized.

Here the molds were conceived of as modular building blocks to be assembled
in an unlimited amount of ways, each time producing a different vessel.
The resulting pieces vary in form, complexity, use, and beauty.
