2 identical tables (sawn and reconnected), lost foam sand-cast aluminum
prosthetics, slip-cast ceramic half-vases, neoprene rubber gaskets
velcro, packaging netting, and zip-ties
When two objects are joined, an inextricable third is formed. Here the joint
is forced; singular objects, in various stages of existence, were cleaved,
re-configured, and re-mated. Along the way, each identical half grew its own
personality, and the interface of these personalities became a stage for
an event. Some are elaborate and some are circuitous, yet all strive for a
certain candor in material, tooling, form, and connection.
